Public Advocacy

arrow Become a campaigner for change

Do you have a cause you don't feel is getting enough attention but don't know what to do about it?  Are you serious about becoming part of a solution to deep rooted problems in the world, tired of standing on the sidelines apathetically?  Do you want to learn what you can do in the face of a seemingly overwhelming problem?  Our Public Advocacy programming might be what you are looking for.

In our Public Advocacy program, The Pilgrimage helps develop a schedule that works closely with such respected advocacy organizations as the PCUSA's Washington Office, Bread for the World, and the ONE Campaign.  These organizations not only educate about various methods of Public Advocacy but provide you with an opportunity to witness Public Advocacy in action.  LEARN HOW we create your program.

Furthermore, a Public Advocacy trip will include experiences where you practice the advocacy you've learned.  This can take the form of anything from a lobbying visit to your Congressman to creating a letter writing campaign you will use when you return home.  The Public Advocacy program is about empowering you with the tools to become a powerful advocate yourself.

This program option is an opportunity to cultivate crucial skills related to bringing about change you want to see in the world.  See how a sample Public Advocacy trip might be constructed.
